One of our Rover / Scout Leaders Cathal, took part in the Explorer Belt Expedition this Summer to Germany. This was a 200km expedition across an unknown part of Germany involving living off a limited budget of €75 for ten days for two people, completing a number of projects, working on two special interest badges and learning as much about Germany as possible.

Cathal and his teammate Fionn from the Galway Sea Scouts came home with the Belt, the highest level of award attainable for takign part in the expedition and this was no easy feat by any means! We hope that many more will follow in their sets to take on this awesome challenge.

You can read more about their journey on their website here: www.adventureonthebelt2015.ie
